IDEF’17 the 13th International Defense Industry Fair, from 9 to 12 May 2017, the Republic of Turkey in the presidential patronage, hosted by the Ministry of Defense, the Turkish Foundation for Strengthening the Armed Forces (TAFF) in the management and accountability, Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, Büyükçekmece, It will be organized in Istanbul.
The IDEF International Defense Industry Fair, which has been conducted every two years since 1993, plays a major role in the development of friendship and cooperation among the participating countries.
IDEF, which covers all industries related directly and indirectly with the defense industry, is an important promotion center and international market for defense industry companies as well as for other participating countries. Increasing the number of participating countries, delegations and companies by years, IDEF is the first fair of our region and is one of the five biggest defense industry exhibitions in the world.
The fair was prepared in 2015; 783 companies and company representatives from 53 countries, 76 countries and 1 international organization, among them 18 Ministers, 19 Deputy Ministers, 6 Chief of Staff, 3 Chief of General Staff, 8 Chiefs of Force and 15 Undersecretaries 493 Foreign delegation participated in the meeting. The fair was visited by 59.715 professionals from a total of 110 countries.
MSB, TSK and General Directorate of Security; A total of 2,230 appointments were held between 23 high level procurement authorities responsible for the Procurement, Plans and Principles Departments and the participating firms, foreign delegations, senior military and civilian authorities.
Within the framework of this information, IDEF Fair was once again proved to be among the most successful and prominent organizations in the defense industry sector.
